Team Giftpoint celebrated a win at the annual Weybridge Community Regatta.

The team captained by Sales Director, Sophy Smith was awarded fastest trial time for a mostly male team. Sophy was joined by crew and fellow Giftpoint employees, Mike Goldsmith, Paul Wood and Charlie Westmorel and-Burns.

The regatta has been running since 2015 and was conceived as a unique community initiative to give local businesses the opportunity to meet, network and compete in a sporting environment.

This year's regatta was sponsored by Mundays LLP, The Old Crown and Wilmott Dixon. Taking place on Friday 2 August, proceeding's kicked off at The Old Crown with a welcome breakfast for the sixteen teams.
Events included a 500m time trial in the Desborough Cut and a 2k relay and finished with a medal presentation and tea by the river.

On the win Sophy Smith commented, 'It was great to be involved in a local community event like this. We entered in the spirit of networking but we're a competitive bunch so once we got on the water the adrenaline kicked in'.
